Amydon, also known as Amydona, was an ancient town located in the lower Axios region of Amphaxitis in ancient Macedonia. It is mentioned by Homer in the Iliad as the capital of the Paeonians, who fought on the Trojan side during the Trojan War. The exact location of Amydon is not definitively known, but it is believed to have been situated near the Axios River (modern-day Vardar River) in the region that is now part of North Macedonia.
